Finally had my first arcade party.

Eight people
19 games
Tons of fun

All games made it through the night. Everyone had a blast and they all want me to do it again.

Biggest hit of the night was 4 player Gauntlet (I don't know how the Giants fan snuck in)

Followed by Star Wars (don't worry, the side art and t-molding will be going on the Centipede soon)

And then shuffle board on the mame cab

Someday I'll have a fully functional dedicated arcade room, but for right now it's just an unfinished basement.

Suprisingly, the young kids had a blast with these old games.

Glad to see it was a success! In the one pic, the kid in the middle of the room you can see that the "yes buy one of these games when you get older" light is going on in his head.. :)

I know your area well Spyridon, we'll have to catch up one day. Had friends who lived in Pen Argyl and moved to Saylorsburg. I've even been to the flea market there, which used to be a drive in movie theatre. Gotta love that.

looks like fun. Very nice games too.

Although, I wish you would have put "O'Doyle's" arcade on the MAME. Cause O'doyle Rules!

He's already asked his dad when he is going to get one

My college room mate was from Pen Argyl. He's now principal at the high school there. In fact, I'm heading down to Allentown tomorrow (pending the snow) to see him. We went to that flea market in 1988 and bought a ton of van carpeting. We used it to cover our loft in our room.

Awesome. I just had a party on Friday with 26 people! Man, that was PACKED!. Seems like the kids had more fun getting tokens out of the token machine then actually playing the games :D

looks great.. games look great too..l

get a ceiling in there , even a nice drop in ceiling and you will be 75% done....

I m thinking tho everyone was playing games and not noticing any unfinished basement...

Very nice selection of games you have ... but I have to ask what I'm sure everyone else is thinking but too chicken to ask. What's up with the party being a sausage fest? Looks like a Phet party to me lol

Ha yeah, everyones a married old guy (including me) and it was a night to get away from the wives.

Wow ... great pics! There is nothing more rewarding about this hobby than having people over to enjoy the games.

I recognize a few parts in those pics .. so glad that you were able to use them! :)

P.S. Finished or not, I have complete and total "basement-envy". Damn Florida water table ...
