Finally got one. Original mk2. Installing jamma switcher with mk1 and mk2 to start.
Has anyone put a pandora box in one of these? Want something like that for the people in my house not into mortal kombat as much as I am. Can I just hook the jamma up and it will work with the power source and monitor. Most of those games only use two buttons anyway. Not worried about Street fighter six button games. Sorry about the pics. Can't figure out how to rotate them. Will be hunting down umk3 and NBA jam te next.

Raise the machine off the ground. Cover up the front damage with a black magic marker. Your MK II looks great. You may need to re wire the sound and ground issue with the Pandora box. Take a look at the jamma pinout and the Pandora pinout (found within the manual). Pick a Pandora that supports CGA. Newer Pandora boxes don't support CGA any more. Have fun.

You will not like UMK3. It's not fun without someone to play with. Don't get it unless you have lots of buddies.

It has feet on the bottom that raises it up an inch or two. Is that not enough? I have plans to slowly restore back to better condition. So far all my money has gone Into the games and jamma switcher stuff. Put a new ballast starter and bulb in the marquee light. I've wanted one of these since I first laid eyes on one in 93 lol

my first pickup

Sweet! My first pick up was an oddball game called time killers. I've grown to love it though, the decapitations are so satisfying :D

get out while your young......Mine was SMB in a midway cab.

I need the AA thread now.

I don't know much about 90s cabs.... I'm a bit before your time. However, I *DO* know about this hobby.....

It all started(for me), with these:

I was given those back in '84. The "hobby" wasn't even a thing, yet... About 5 years ago or so, a few things happened: I wanted to repair the throttle control on Lunar Lander, and found this site. One thing led to another, and now I've got these sitting in my dining room:

The best advice comes from a wizened creature named Yoda: "Control! Control! You MUST learn control!"

Congrats OP on your first game. First of many, I'm sure. :)

I'm not a fan of "90's fighters" (and will never own one) but I can see you and your family enjoy the MK2. That's what it's all about. Games for EVERYONE!! LOL

Congrats Top! I'm still working on getting my first cabinet. I would really like to find an Ikari Warriors. That was my favorite game growing up. My search continues....

Enjoy your new game.

Thats a great first game to start with! But then u will want the 1st one, then 3 and 4, then some classics, maybe a pin to even it out.....:)

Cool dude congrats.

Don't listen to redlando umk3 is badass. The zeus mod is cool.

There is a sequence to unlock two characters.

And they do multiply.... Im almost a year into the hobby... And I think im at close to 15 games/pins
