My Electrohome GO8-103 Upgrade/Repair Log for Star Trek SOS
Hey Guys,
So I started having issues with my GO8-103 in my Star Trek SOS two days ago, and found out that the caps have never been replaced on the chassis. Doing some research, I found two guides online the HIGHLY recommend upgrading the capacitors when doing a cap kit so that is what I have done.
Here is a video of what my monitor is currently doing:
In the interest of keeping the GO8 runnning as long as possible and as cool as possible I have reference this guide:
GO8 FAQ
Also I have referenced Mongo's GO8 guide as well:
Mongo's* Simple Sega G80 Vector Mods
I will be using this thread as a guide to document my progress with making my GO8 a solid Vector Monitor. Here is the part list that I ordered tonight so far for my Electrohome GO8:
I hope this will be helpful to others in the future with their GO8!!!
Thanks
Grant
