My Daughter needs ideas for her 80's Movie Night

I keep forgetting the name of the movie but.....

Basically it involved three kids who are sent instructions over their computer from aliens in outer space on how to construct a force field bubble. They construct a space pod out of a carnival ride thingy and use the force field bubble to go up into space where they land on the alien ship where there is a family of 3 space aliens.

Anyways...perhaps someone can make sense of it and chime in with the movie title.

In case you all missed it, she is 23 years old adn the group she hangs with is mixed with both males and females that range in age from about 20 to 28. well im going to add my two cents. I liked the movie Loverboy Dempsey was funny as hell in that movie, also does anyone remember the name of that Michael Keaton movie where he has that video wall thingys. I believe it was keaton, also stand by me was another great one. But how about Thrashin or Gleaming the Cube? Maybe Dream a little dream?
