Just tried out Google's sketchup after seeing all the cool layouts people have done. Some great work by Gozer and others on the models. Here is my current lineup with zero effort put into cleaning up and learning more about SketchUp:

The blank cab in the middle is my mame cab. Also surprised that no one has created a dedicate Frenzy cab

The Mortal Kombat should be a War Gods and the Multi-Williams should be in a Robotron cab, but otherwise, the game selection is correct.

Ahhhh, your Multi-Williams has the wrong artwork too!! :D

Nice selection of games. I am sure they look even better in person. I am still amazed by some of the restorations you have done.

Looks great! That's what I'm talkin' 'bout! With about 5 minutes of basic tutorial/ learning you've managed to layout your entire gameroom. Think of how much easier it will be to plan changes in the order and layout to your room now. Just by grabbing the models and moving them around, you'll be able to preview what they'll look like without all the hard work.

Well done.

Yeah, it was pretty simple to do. Really a nice way to plan a layout. Only issue I have know is when I open it up to make changes, my PC slows to a crawl. Can't do anything in the software because it takes forever just to redraw the image.

Eeeeewwwww. I hate the crawls. My old 512mb PC (the main one I used and still use) will slow down so bad that it literally will take about 10 seconds to turn an entire gameroom full of cabinets. My new laptop handles it very well now, as it has much more available space and speed.

The slideshow video that I made had tons of cabs arranged into manufacturer rooms. Some of those rooms like the Sega room had so many cabs of such large file size in there, that simply orbiting the camera around the room for a new picture became brutally sluggish.

Things to check:

1) How much RAM do you have versus how much you are using. If you look at the Task Manager in Windows and you're using over 50 - 60%, you should consider adding more RAM.

2) What video card do you have? If it's really old, new ones are pretty cheap. If it's fairly recent, make sure you have the latest video driver.

3) How fast is your hard drive? If you have something like a 5400 RPM drive, get a 7200RPM drive. To find this out, you'll have to look at the model number of the drive.

Also, one more easy tip that helps without adding any stuff to the computer:

1. In your sketchup layout go to "view" tab
2. Select "edges" sub-tab
3. De-select the display edges and the profiles.

This will make all the cabs look more photo real without any lines whatsoever, and remove some displayed information on the cabinets that is not necessary.

Just downloaded this thing how do i use it?

I noticed some of the arcade games are listed my users here. But alot of Pins are not listed.
