Blasphemer!!! Alright. I did it.why not just throw it away? easy to do. try it.
You would have wanted to get a new power supply anyways.I need to get back into my C64 again. I'm looking at mine now and it has a broken key on the keyboard. I'm guessing that can't be replaced, or can it? I'm also missing all the power cords and such. So it's just the keyboard and what's inside.
Recently I came across this guy repairing C64s on Youtube. Pretty interesting stuff!

Speaking of power supplies...i bought a new one. I have the original one but obviously it isnt working properly. It needs to be serviced but since the whole damn thing is encased in an epoxy resin of sorts, you cant get at it. It is a PAL commodore so its a 220v plug. Should I just toss it? @thegleek, i may need your emotional support here. Do i keep it as part of my collection to say "yes here is an original power adapter...but you cant use it"? Or toss it?

I have a Versa64Cart with only the deadtest bin on a 2764. Do you happen to have a bin with more test programs already merged for a 27512?FWIW, I make test carts for C64s with the 781220 and 586220 test programs on it. You can pick either one with a switch... I also make EPROM adapters for the kernal ROM (or BASIC), and ROM adapters where you can select between two kernals...
And for SID replacements, I like the SwinSID Ultimate (regular SwinSID isn't that great from what I've heard of it, but the Ultimate is near perfect)
I repaired my C64 last year and had to make a few things... well, either make them or import them from EU since there weren't any US sellers at the time.
Sadly, I don't. Check World of Jani though, they'll probably have the other ROMs I don't have.I have a Versa64Cart with only the deadtest bin on a 2764. Do you happen to have a bin with more test programs already merged for a 27512?
Didn't see anyone answer this... so the answer is 4 on a standard 1541.wow. wonder how many you can possibly daisy chain?
