my collection pix (pic heavy)

that's a very nice collection.

I like how you have the candy's as your workhorses and all of the dedicateds handling everything with special controls that couldn't be handled on a generic setup!

Nice collection of games buddy !!! I got to get down there again, sorry I have been so busy of late. Cherish the moments you have with all working games in the collection, don't move anything for awhile ;)

Also, am I blind....where is the Fonz...hey !

correction...was to busy looking at Frontline :)

Wow..Thanks guys for all the nice compliments, I wasn't really expecting such a positive response. I'm glad ya like the games, I appreciate it :)

I'm at work on an IPhone, so its slow and cumbersome to reply...but I'll try my best until I can carve out some time at home with the laptop.

Now that my good friend nash (Francis) has made a thread appearance, I must give full credit where its due :) He's the one who restored Millipede, Missile Command and Warlords. In addition, Marble Madness, Asteroids Deluxe and soon Star Wars and Black Widow are from the Ataricade. Also the backlit tracballs are things I enjoyed seeing at Francis's so I wanted them replicated in my games :)

heh tom..... dude, the garage is lookin tight man. i know i havent been over in quite sometime, but it has def improved big time. your game lineup just keeps gettin mintier and mintier.

i agree with francis' comment earlier..... cant you just stick to 1 of those so-called WORKHORSES?? then you got mo' room for the vintage cades that way. also, so glad you are able to have some of the ataricade cabs in your collection.

two words for your garage cade.... MINTY FRESH.

Thanks Smoke :) In the Fonz, control a guy on a motorcycle (overhead top down view). The more throttle you give, the higher up the screen he gets and you are awarded points faster. There are other riders to avoid and the road twists. There is a strong solenoid that slams the handlebars when you crash. It is timer based, and the score used to max out at 1999. My friends Xray2 and DewmanSNK modded it so the score could roll over. The goal is to make it count into the 2000's, which is still in progress. We also plan on upgrading the sound and some other neat ideas...VectorInvader suggested we make the Fonz say "Aaaaayyy" when a quarter is inserted, heh. This used to belong to my friend Keith Mitchell and he went to great lengths to have the Marquee signed by Henry Winkler.

WOW you have 3 machines I would love to have if I had the space, and they are in minty condition for what it looks in the pics. Nice. If you're into candy cabs, I would recommend trading one of those Egrets for a Sega Blast City.

you friend had him sign it, WOW!....man it looks like a cool game, you should vid it playing someday and post it on youtube, there are no vids of the game anywhere I could find.

Thanks R3LL1K, Ownership had been a pain until I got it working right. Sound was missing from half the speakers, fixed by swapping in a new soundboard, then the pitch motor locked up. There was also a ton of dust and old rat poop that was discovered while dismantling the game.

I used to have to move the game around using a pallet jack, which was a pain. I installed these heavy duty 6" casters rated at 650 lbs each on heavy channel iron, painted it then had a friend weld these to the cab (mid resto pic) Now it is effortless to move, has self locking wheels and that pallet jack is outta here!

Kudos to you for having the balls to own such a game, as awesome as it is I can't imagine having to move one of those with broken casters.

Great collection. I like the Fonz machine as well. Where was Winkler when he signed that? Hey, I plan on being in Anahiem for a conference in Sep - hint, hint - I would luv to see your collection in person!

Thanks Matt! Your terrific work on HSS kits really has enhanced my enjoyment of the games, including numerous pcbs which arent pictured...looking forward to seeing what ya have in store for us in the future, I think I have pretty much every kit you've produced to date....the only additional favor to ask someday would be the Juno First score extend ;)
I had a lead with the original programmer but the trail has since gone cold, lol.

Tom

Very nice looking games there Tom!

Keith told me the details awhile back, but I suffer from early stages of old man's disease so I've forgotten, heh. Sure man, I'd love to have ya over for a visit :) please drop me a pm a couple weeks before you head out here, then we can schedule a game night in your honor, and invite some of the SoCal crew to join us :)

Heheh Red Commander, I've downsized the candies down to 3 already. Hey man, there's nothing wrong with doing a load of laundry while playing a game or two...

lol, I like candy cab styling...but no worries, I won't be trading for a Blast City. I'm kinda old school in this regard...I'm stuck on low and med rez games. Not ready to embrace high rez atm ;)

Tom

Please, please don't encourage him.

Thanks Frizz,

Yes now that my game repair "todo" list is winding down, I'll have to sit down and try to figure out how to operate Sketchup and include in this thread. It looks like a really great tool to use and the models the guys have made available are pretty amazing.

Tom

Very nice collection...

You should put together a Sketchup mock-up of your "gameroom"... it's sort of hard to determine the layout with the photos.

Oh you're a cruel, cruel...heartless bastard, Bill...that hurts :D

No worries, man...I'm sure its only a matter of time before you crack! Just give me time, heheh ;)

Tom

Very nice collection Tom. Too bad you don't have a Mad Planets next to that Q*bert!

Will do - that would be awesome!

Thanks Jeff! You really oughta stop by the next time you're headed up to the Ataricade... Think of it like stopping at Stateline before hitting Vegas Baby! :p

Tom

Great collection Tom. I've been waiting to see some pics of your games for a while. It's an awesome assortment and everything looks to be in great shape. I really like your taste in games; so many of my favorites. Get a 720 and call your collection 'complete'!

Nice job!
