When I got him, he turned on to garble and trash. Got a new working board, worked fine the 3 times I turned him on. Went outside tonight to play a few games before bed, and it turned on to a blue screen, with waving lines. Pics and vid below.

The machine is out in the garage, it's a little chilly, about 50 degrees, and the suction cup on the fly back is doing that "sizzle" sound, and has "popped" on occasion warming up in the mornings when I turn it on.

Not sure if colds the issue, or if I should do the new cap kit, clean the anode and such...or if it's something else. what's going on!? I only played him 3 times!

unless you're going from extreme cold to warm enough to create condensation, that shouldn't matter. I was left at work to fix games in a 50 degree room and I didn't blow anything up. :)

if your AR2 power supply is all original, the voltages could be out of spec.

a dirty edge connector and Sense could have also burned up contacts on the edge. you will have to unplug the harness from the board to visually inspect this damage.

good luck

make sure the anode cup is clipped in with both wires so its secure and yes you could clean under and around it just make sure to discharge and its dry when put back on.

check voltages at the game board and see what readings your getting.
common that the edge connector pins get weak and have poor contact.

if you need cap kits or full rebuild kits i stock them all with top quality parts.

Thanks guys. I'll check the ar2 and edge connector and give an update. Hope it's not dead again [emoji22]

honestly, if it were a low power condition, I would venture the screen would be black, not blue. so to make your problems worse, it might wind up being a logic error of some kind.
