thanks phil.... yeah, it did take some work. luckily alot of the games have casters now so i can move them around alot easier.

i had dave come over the day the games were delivered so we could plan a strategy for the best plan/layout. originally i wanted to have the edot smack in the middle, with the games all around it, but there wasnt enough room that way :( but dave had a great idea doing the center aisle of 3 and 3 games back to back and that worked out much better! its a newer house, so the garage does feel a tad bit smaller than my old garage. still so stoked to have some extra room and a nice big driveway for my wife's car.

That's an amazing transformation! I'm currently renting and so the garage is just a garage with some games in it but we found a house with a game room and a bar that should really work out great. It looks like there were games in there before because of all the outlets. The wife thinks I only want the house because of that room but no matter what I'm going to have an arcade so either we get that house and she has a garage or we get something else and her car sits outside!

nice man..... i would take an actual "gameroom" inside the house any day over a garagecade. hope you get the new place, and if you do make sure to post some pics!

I dunno bro, when you have a garage that is all done and looks like yours, its better than having an indoor game room (IMO). Especially for us, when we have small kids if you are having a party and people stay late, you are being super loud inside. Living in SoCal, it doesn't get super hot, or super cold in the garage either, so its perfect. I think your setup is fantastic.

thanks bro.... since we dont have basements or gamerooms, we do what we can with what we have available! garagecades do work and seem to be the norm for most of us in socal. i agree with the whole kids thing and having friends and family over. i like to have the kitchen door triple locked from the lil guys. ive got my wife tellin em' "wait till daddy gets home from work, then you can play some games :) " i gotta keep a close eye on my kids, their like wild monkeys in the garagecade ~!

Yeah, I was thinking this myself until I opened the garage-cade for Halloween. If I had an indoor game room, it would be harder to share.

I'll always have a few inside, but with some carpet and paint (and your regional weather permitting) a garcade can be cool, too, I think.

Awesome setup, Chris!

muchas gracias ed... yeah, i would also love to have "a few inside" but my wife gave me full control of the garage and thats it! i tried to sneak the warlords cocktail into the front room (far corner) but she put the kabash on that and said "hell to the no".

Congratulations Chris! We hope to be in the same boat as you sometime next year. I can't wait to see your finished game room once you're "done" with it. :)
