You may want to get some reflective tape or something to outline the steps down into the room. From the photos, they blend in pretty well with the carpet bend up the wall. I can totally see myself triping over them when the lights are down. Looks good dude!

hmmm.... good idea with the reflective tape dean. maybe i can make it more of a blue glowing tron theme?? hmmm... you are right, the step def blends in and someone could get hurt.

Hey Chris!

Just found your thread... your Garagecade is coming together great! I too like the red walls and grey carpet. Little guy looks like he's enjoying it too! You might consider a vented door over the water heater. We have ours in our house in a slightly bigger enclosure. The door has two vents in it to let air in / out but it hides the heater. Just thinkin...

Keep up with the updates, oh and wake Dave up.

is the vented door a specific type of door?? can i find one @ homedepot or lowes?? i might consider it dep on price and installation and all. thanks man, chris

hehe.... heh steve, good eye there! yes, i am gonna try to put the tron pin right there in the corner. gonna hang the skate decks on the wall to the right of the tron poster. gonna hang some framed art to the left of the tron poster. then some arcade flyers above the garage door area. still might be shifting things around to find the best "layout" for the space. having lots of fun with it so far!

im also trying to find a wall mount that will fit my 32' tv for some good ol' 80's music videos :) chris

Lookin great Chris! I can see were your Tron pin is going :) did you find a spot to display your skateboard decks?

Have you tried monoprice for the wallmount for the TV?
Cheap prices good service and located in Rancho Cucamonga if you don't want to pay for shipping.
Great job Keep up the great work.

thanks alpha for the info. no, i havent tried or heard of monoprice. ill check out their website over the weekend. tanx!

Chris, if you can find a door to fit the opening, any door will do. Then you cut at least 1 but I'd cut 2 opening in the door and install vent grills. One at top and one at bottom. Paint to match your wall and you'll never know it's there. Just a suggestion...

Looking good!

Very cool, Chris!

The next time the family and I are in SoCal, I'm stopping by to see the new digs.

Can't wait to see more pics.

ok, finally got some things done the last couple of weeks!

all in all, im very happy with how its turning out. just nice to finally be playing some of my games again. thank god the move is finally over~! i bring to you the new and improved ATOMICADE.
