My basement arcade hits the local paper!

Do you do a "Troy McClure" routine when meeting new people, and say, "you may remember me and my game room from such things as That Cable Commercial" ?

No, no, I do not. I wish someone would be able to link me to the youtube video of it though, for old time's sake. I have yet to get into the local newspaper. This is really good publicity for Joe and the community.

I am so confused right now...what is this commercial you are talking about??? I totally am missing the joke here...ha

Wow. Very cool, indeed.

Congrats my friend. Always nice to make it into the media on occasion.

[piling on]Congratulations![/piling on]

It is always good when there is some positive news about video games and the hobby. The only thing we get around here is when they raid an 8liner parlor and the TV reporter stands in front of the closed doors and talks about "closing an arcade for illegal gambling".

So I just received a call from the Washington Post and they read the Gazette article and want to do a story on the arcade and Hall of Fame events as well. They asked if there was a price guide for what these machines sold for...

I said most refer to KLOV and Exidys Price Guide...I sent a link to it. Hopefully I can get you guys a shout out!

This is awesome!! Cool article....... I hope you are enjoying this time with getting your arcade in the paper and getting to meet Walter Day and Billy Mitchell.
