my b&k 467 arrived with a cracked display

will it matter?

doesn't look like anything was damaged aside from the plastic display.

As long as the needle moves freely and is not restricted would think you would be OK.
 
Yeah, the crack in the plastic doesn't matter at all, so long as it doesn't bind up the needle. And if it does, you can just remove the cracked plastic to free the needle - it's only there to protect it.

Remember - it's not really a "display" - this predates things like LCD's... it's a mechanical meter. Much more robust :D

I got mine a couple months ago with a crack in the blue display cover...
 
are the attachments of the 467 and 470 compatible? I figure they are, but wasn't sure.
 
The models 467, 470, 480, and 490a all use the same "CR" series adapters.

It's the last model 490-B that B&K went to all new adapters called the "CA" series.
