All done except installing the high score save kit.
Machine was in very nice preserved 30 year old shape to start with, but needed a resto badly to continue on for another 30 years.
I capped the monitor and AR board, replaced some other components on the AR board for trouble free game plays as well. Capped the Deflection baord too. Did work on the PCB but when done I created an issue I could not fix. Shipped it off to road.runner and in the process UPS lost it! Yup! So thanks to UPS, their insurance money bought me a working board, so I did not need to pay for any repairs out of pocket.
New T-moldings, leg levelers and mounts, refinished coin door and new lock.
Fresh black paint on the back of the machine.
Stripped the flat black on the CP off, and discovered the original CP was 97% still there! So I touched up the bare spots and clear coated the entire panel to preserve the original, since no overlay is made for the machine.
Wanted to add color to the machine and brought out the blue in the marquee with the blue T-moldings, colored buttons and silver P1 & P2 bezels. Like it or not...
Stripped the flat black on the front off. I think someone painted the coin door on the machine and decided to do the front too!
New bronze plexi.
New Big Blue.
New power cord and switch.
New PCB connector edge terminals.
Correct manual.
New Marquee bulb and starter.
I left the wood grain, its all original and I feel should be left alone. Its not the most attractive but thats how it rolled off the line as we all know.
More was done of course, but anyway...
