Hm...lots more ideas here for the black lighting. Thanks for that.

Awesome, awesome.

When are you building the 2nd one?

So cool, thanks for sharing. Make a video of your cool space, very awesome job you did. Congratz

Maybe I can get 30FathomDave to help me with that. ;) Seriously, though, thanks everyone for the great comments, I really appreciate them. If any of you guys ever find yourself in central California, feel free to pm me and stop on by! No more than 4 at a time, though. That's why I have a waiting bench outside. :D I know Jehuie will be in Visalia sooner or later, and Sean, I'll have to design a display for Bits, Sticks, and Buttons now for that great compliment! Man, how I wish I had room for a kegerator!

I like the black ceiling that you did as well, kick ass!

I can pretty much agree with everyone in what a great Game Room, shed or not, small space or not that is outstanding job of all the decor and games it doesn't seem small at all inside. Great Job, I need one of these cause I'm tired of basements already.

Thanks man. I love it, but I would take a huge basement over it any day! I was actually inspired by this thread. His is larger, and I would have made mine a bit bigger, but my yard is small and most of it is taken up by our pool.

Ive been in Utah a bit over a year now and pulling off door frames and sliding games down the stairs is just wrong, and that's to only put 6 games 1 cockpit in a 9x11 converted storage room. If there was a better way to get them downstairs and had more room then its all good. I do miss my 12x14 shed/room i had in so cal.

Dude. DUUUUUUUUUUDDDDEEEE. That is beyond awesome.

Wow. Those are some really cool ideas you pulled off!

what an amazing gameroom! love the theme and the decor, some nice ideas in there. looks so tiny from the outside but so huge from the inside. are you officially out of space once the sea wolf and the defender have "moved in"?

Wow, Greg! That's awesome!

You give inspiration and hope to those of us who have limited space. It's really about design and how you utilize the space that makes all the difference.

Well done, my friend. Well done. :)

That is awesome, one question, Im thinking about that same brick paneling, is it tongue and groove? Did you nail it up or glue it? I am going to show these pics to wifey, thats how cool i think they are!!!

Sort of... I have several cabs in the garage as well (Galaga, Joust, Mario Bros. WB, Lock'n Chase) that are currently all in some stage of restoration. My plan is to get everything fixed up, then I'll periodically rotate games from the garage to the arcade.

No, it's not tongue and groove, but it's over 1/4" thick so it stays fairly flat. I used a nail gun to install it - I planned on using liquid nails as well, but I insulated the walls so the studs were covered with paper. One thing I did was to spray flat black rustoleum between every joint, it helps to make the paneling look more seamless.

proof that size doesn't matter. I have a 500 square foot garage I am turning into a gameroom and there is no way mine will ever be as bad ass as yours. I may steal a few ideas though =)

nice work!

the first thing i thought of when i saw the picture of the outside of the building was "hey it looks like jakes".

Totally kicks ass. I will have to drop by and check that out when I get back to CA. I will probably end up doing something similar. What was the total cost if you don't mind me asking.

Great stuff Greg.

Do all of your machines fit in there? I don't think I see all the machines in your sig. I was looking at the pics hoping to see a flux capacitor prop on the wall.

hell you even have ac in there :D
Hell yeah, gotta love California - yesterday was the second day of fall, and it was 101 here.

Thanks Dave. I didn't keep track of every penny, but I know I have about $2500 in it in materials (cement, lumber, paint, wiring, etc.). But I did all the labor myself, with some help from some of my buds.

Great stuff Greg.

No, I can't get all of them in there, so the garage will be used for the overflow (ha, ha -get it?) It's funny that you mention a flux capacitor - I initially was going to go with 80's stuff like that, but my wall space is so limited that I decided to concentrate on just arcade related things.
