My arcade in the beginning.....

Wow, what a tremendous transformation that old dirty basement has made! I love the way the arcade currently looks, but also liked the way it use to look. Your first attempt had a very crisp classic look and the booth & checkered floor was killer! I want to see pictures of all the games in your living room, lol. Was the living room gameroom pre-wife & kids?

Yeah Erik, the games in the living room were pre-wife! But I had plans from the very beginning to finish off the basement. I just went nuts after buying Space Invaders in Feb. of '98; and pretty soon I had 18 in the living room.

I liked the old look as well. I don't think I have any other pics of the games in the living room. Only on VHS tape. I'll have to dig deeper....

Yes, I have thought about doing that; it would be pretty radical. Not sure if I'll ever go that far, though. Its always in the back of my mind.....

How about a custom 'road' rug? I would not be permanent and that way when your tired of it you can just roll it up.

Cool stuff! That is pretty neat to be able to compare those before and after pics. I'd say what you have now is a definite improvement than your gameroom 10 years ago! :D

Great pix Gorfchamp....Thanks for sharing. Love the drop down lights in the old school pix, along with the booth...nice

Thanks. All the hanging "bar" lights are still there. They are the old lights out of the Altura Liquor store(bar) in town here. I got them for free when they renovated the bar back in 1996. I think the lights are from the early 70's; maybe even older. They look much better in person. More colorful, that is.

I miss the booth, but had to make room for more games lol....
