Well, I didn't manage to buy any games at the CAX this year, but I did have a couple deals lined up before the show. I had already bought a A.D. and made the deal for the Star Trek. I also picked up one of Wolfeel's rebuilt monitors for the A.D.

A.D. is a project. Got it home and started working on it right away. The monitor is missing the deflection board so I got the new monitor for it. All boards were unplugged, but present. I checked all of the fuses, checked voltages which were good. Plugged the game board and AR board in and it played blind. Plugged in the monitor and I now have working AD! I wish all nonworking games came back to life this easy!

Star Trek was and is working. I would like to restore the cabinet and put some side art on it. I'm not sure how to remove the groovy wood siding. Whoever put it on did a really good job, but I think it would look better black with Star Trek art. I'll be asking questions in the cabinet forum...

I know, pictures or it didn't happen, so here they are...

Regards,
Tom

I dunno, the woodgrain does look very well done. I would probably just leave it as is. Once its pushed up against another game or two you won't even notice. Go with the old, "if its working don't mess with it" attitude.
