Found another cool 7UP item at a garage sale this weekend. The cardboard 7UP case on the bottom I'm guessing is from the 1960's. I've never seen one like that so I had to have it.

The bottles and carrier sitting on top I bought last year at a garage sale. Kinda cool to be able to find the cardboard carrier, as many of those didn't survive.

The sign on the wall I bought at Goldrush Days in Rochester, MN a few years ago. It would look pretty cool boxed and lit up; but I haven't gotten around to that yet, lol.

The last picture is a Bubble-Up "stretch" bottle. For those of you that haven't seen one like this, you could win them playing the "ring toss" at fairs BITD. I won a Pepsi bottle at a local fair in 1976 playing the ring toss, the bottle was prefilled with colored water, and capped with a cork. The carnie would take a torch to the bottle and heat it up enough to soften the glass so he could "stretch" it. I haven't seen that art at a fair in over 30 years. My sister broke my Pepsi bottle when I was in the military(little brat), so I've been looking for one for a LONG time and finally found a nice example.

that bubble up bottle is cool as hell.

you must get a Dot figure, although not sure if it would go with your time period theme :(

I was at an estate sale about a year ago and the owner must have worked for 7-Up considering how much stuff they had. They had some kind of cardboard box shaped Christmas tree that you put these special edition cans into, all kinds of signs, lamps (homemade I would think), a whole room full of stuff was for sale, you probably would've $h!t yourself if you're into that stuff, I practically did and I'm not into 7-Up.

That's really cool. Thanks for sharing.

I'd really love to put together a Coke corner someday. I have a few collectible I've gathered over the years.

Much love for 7UP though. Although I'm a Coke guy, I definitely prefer 7UP over Sprite or Sierra Mist.

Very cool. Thanks for the weekly update to the Lost Highway Arcade. ;) My wife watches Celebrity Apprentice, and last night they were tasked with coming up with a new ad campaign for 7up's new (old?) "7up Retro", which uses real sugar, like Throwback Pepsi. They have a 70's and an 80's themed can, I'm sure the Lost Highway will be stocked with these soon...

Right on, man. And thanks for viewing/enjoying my threads. That's what it's all about!

I'll be the first to buy any 7up retro....

I'm still wishing I woulda stole this sign last summer:

That 7UP sign looks to be in great shape. It is nowhere near as weather beaten as the one next to it, and it definitely looks old (vintage). I don't see any holes from rocks or BB guns either. Is it still there?

It was last July. Problem is, I needed to grab it when I saw it, as the town it's in is about 190 miles NE of me. I may never get up there again.

That's too bad that it is so far away from you.

If it were closer it would definitely be worth organizing a rescue mission.
