Hey guys figured i'd show you my one and only slot, I plan on restoring it eventually. It was handed down to me by my mother and father who bought it about 10-15 years ago at an auction.

From what i've found through searching the net I believe it's a Mills High Top Owl "The Mint" but i haven't been able to find this particular one (The Mint) anywhere on the net.

As you can see it's not in the greatest condition but it does work perfectly. I'd like to eventually take out and clean all the glass especially over the payout (i can see something written behind it but can't tell for sure what it says).

I found 1 tag on the inside of the machine that reads:

Mills Hightop Owl "The Mint"
Mint Casinos Corp
DBA The Mint
Owned Prior 12/17/62
Slots Mills

I do have a couple questions, i've posted pictures of the back where the lock "was" and was wondering where i can source a new/replacement one. second question is what or where to buy a podium for it. there's a hole in the bottom where the "till" would drop down into it's stand (i'm guessing into a cash box/bucket of some sort). I was thinking about buying a Fish tank stand for a rectangular deep fish tank (since i have one already and looks like it would work very well, i'm using it for my fish tank tho).

Any info would be greatly appreciated, everyone enjoys putting atleast 1 nickel in it every time their over.

sorry about the handrail in the pic of the inside i didn't want to move it lol.

my 5C mills hitop

This is a Mills Owl Hitop made by Mills Bellomatic Corp Las Vegas NV. It is a casino revamp which makes parts extremely difficult to find of the casino logos. Since it looks as most of the casino revamp parts are there it should be no prob restoring. The back door takes a standard Belllock as was part of the original machine. These are available on ebay though pricey. Last the casino was called the Mint located in Vegas, not sure if it still exists or was torn down during the big renovation of downtown.

TYTY, some great info there, it works perfectly, it's just in need of some refreshing and a good cleaning.

I'll see if mrslot1.com has the lock i also have to figure out what's going on with behind the jackpot glass since it's been covered up. I'd also like to replace the real strips possibly, they're not in terrible shape but they have some patina/yellowing maybe someday i'll put a new cabinet on it too.

I'm not sure if the upper nickle catch area lower right of the coin acceptor slot lower left of the 5cent badge is working properly. I've never seen it fill up.

also anyone with any ideas for a lower cabinet/stand?? should i try my hand at building my own? buy something similar, i've seen some places that sell them online but they are rather pricey.

Would you be interested in selling this slot machine? I am in the middle of restoring a Mills Hi-Top 50 Cent machine myself.

thanks

unfortunately this is NFS, my father passed away a few years ago and it was a starting point of my collecting.

Also this machine is 100% working so parting it is definitely not an option.

Goodluck with your restore.
