It's been completely hellcaded into a JAMMA Shinobi, but hopefully in time, I'll have her gleaming with all her 80s Tempesty-goodness once more. Hey, at least they left the original coin door in tact.

Forgot to mention that the prior owner of mine claimed to have had it for the past 3 years in storage. He picked it up at the Timonium MD auction. Nice to know a little history on these gems.
I was able to snag my Tempest as non-working for $50. I knew it needed an AC cord as the original was cut off, but after putting on a new one and turning the brightness on the monitor back up, I had a working Tempest.

Hey- do you still have that?
Try turning down the brightness- those are the 'hidden lines' all over the place showing up.
This is how Tempest looks on an XY oscilloscope with no 'Z' control.

The problem was the brightness and I re soldered the connector between the two boards. Plays great now.

I grabbed some CitrusStrip from HD the other day and used some on the Tempest, only to find that the original side art appears to be long gone. Add that to the "needs" list I guess!

Yes it is definitely out there. I was just hoping at least one side still had some traces of Tempest on it. It's cheezy little things like that that spark motivation in me to keep moving forward on projects.
We stayed at a friends house last night but I am heading home to work on the FF. I will look for my Tempest stuff. I think I have a marquee and smoke glass too. I'll shoot you pm after I look. I have two Tempests, an Ataxx and a Golden Tee in front of my parts shelves at the moment. I am motivated though. I know I have a working AR2 - 02 in the pile of stuff for the FF!
