I spent all day trying to fix my first G07 with Bob's kit. A new flyback, a new VR, a new HOT, a cap kit, and a new horizontal width coil. No B+ on either pole. R902 is not open. No cold solder joints, both fuses beep test okay. I thought these were easy :)

They are easy :)

Are you sure your fuses are good? Are you testing them in circuit or out?

When you say "no B+ on either pole"......I assume no voltage on either side of resistor R1. Time to back-track.....Check for DC voltage at the banded side of diode D903 or D904....and DC voltage at each side of fuse 901.

You both fixed my chassis! It was the smaller of the two fuses that was open out of circuit. I am an idiot!

Got my first monitor scare, as I was putting it into the chassis, I felt an electrical charge and I dropped the fuse and instantly remembered about the age old G07 large gray cap. Thinking I'd discharged it with my hand, for fun I put my insulated screwdriver against it. What a scary light show, I now have two permanent burn marks on my screwdriver. That almost happen to me!!!!!!

Time to adjust my tube :)

I wanted to get some of the easy work done myself before I called on a pro ;-) Don't worry, I have a 23 inch B&W that I've got to get to next and I'll need help with that!
