This is an update to my other thread, but with some additional pics. On Friday I saw a two day old ad about a Galaga that was for sale but with a messed up screen for $150. I was not expecting it to be there, but the woman replied that it was. She told me that she has had the game since 1995 but that it messed up the last time she moved it. I drove 85 miles to the north side of Baltimore and when I saw it it way surpassed my expectations. I only have some light cosmetics to do to get it back to 100% shape. The right side of the screen was completely smeared/folded over, but the screen itself has zero burn in. I got it home and started to mess with it and then adjusted the horizontal hold (thanks Mitsurugi-w for the tip)
and the screen cleared right up. I have wanted a Galaga since I was 8 years old (31 years ago) and I finally have a decent unmolested original one to call my own.

Congrats on a beautiful Galaga! Can't ask for much more than that, esp. for $150. Screen adjustment FTW!

I just can't believe that someone else did not snag it before I did. If I had more space I would go back and get the Asteroids she had. She really wanted to get rid of it cheap.

I have been playing this every afternoon after getting home from work, and I must say I forgot how fun a slow fire Galaga can be. I have been used to playing rapid fire over the years. Combining the slow fire with harder difficulty settings makes for a great game experience.

galaga is my grail,i imported a bosconian/galaga conversion from germany to uk,it was originaly a us import.

i would put a switcher in there and ditch the power supply board.
;)

I'm looking for a Galaga, also. I don't know how I missed this one.
