Any leads on fixing this.

I replaced the battery and it doesn't seem like there is any battery leak damage.
The screen is garbled tiles. Like a patchwork quilt.

I've been reading Channelmaniac's repair logs and it sounds like it's stuck in Watchdog (Click of Death)

This is what it looks like with some blur.

Still have not figured bthis one out.
Bumping for any other possible help?

FIRST... check for the obvious... corroded pins around the battery area... gouged traces, etc..

After that... take a logic probe and check the read/write, the /CS, and the /OE lines on the backup RAM. If they are dead or have no activity then you have an issue in the battery backup circuit.

If they are OK then check address and data line continuity between them, the work RAM, the CPU, and the BIOS ROM.

If that is OK then you either have a back Work RAM or bad Backup RAM.
