Wanted to share my new multi taito machine. Ive been wanting to build this out for a while. Picked up some EA parts from Mupes found a nice Taito cab and have it up and running! Pics attached... I will be painting my 2 player CP soon after cold lets up and grabbing a CPO for 2 player support as suggested by members in another thread.

I've been wanting to do this too. Is there a source for the multi Taito boards for less than $275?
** How is the gameplay and sounds compared to the original? Is it spot on or is it a little off like the 60-1 multi ?

I recall the multi taitos from hanaho selling for around 150-175 after the arcade SD started supporting most of the games on it. I haven't priced one in a while, but if they are at 275, it is a better deal to get the arcade SD in my opinion. Only game I would miss is bubble bobble. BTW, great looking cab. Mine is EA themed in a qix cab. Still a work in progress, though.

Nice - I found that when I ran my Multi-Taito to a 19" monitor that it seemed kinda narrow and was hard to adjust to fit the screen. Resolution issues kinda messed it up for me. I had it in a Double Dragon cab which was a simple fix for the CP issues. Too bad they didn't have Double Dragon and Cadash on this board. Yeah I know Technos...

I bought the board here on KLOV for 150 I think. I have heard ArcadeSD is the way to go but Im happy with what I have. While it can hold a lot of games... sometimes it is too much for me to have to go through. Might be able to find someone selling the board that wants to upgrade to ArcadeSD

Sound and gameplay seem pretty close to original. I have no complaints.

I'm thinking of running Hyperspin into my Double Dragon w/ 19" Trisync that I have just cause I would be able to program my own Multi-Taito.

My games list would be something like:
Arabian Magic
Bubble Bobble
Rainbow Islands
Bubble Memmories
Bubble Symphony
Cadash
Darius Gaiden
Double Dragon
Double Dragon II
Elev Action
Elev Action Returns
Growl
Puzzle Bobble
Qix
Rastan
Space Invaders DX
Thunder Fox
Zooo

I dunno if there are themes for all of these games in HS however.

I'm wondering about Dinorex. It looks like exactly the stupid vintage game my 7 year old kids would like.

I had a 10-1 Gameroom Classics in a Double Dragon that I sold to KidVidiot. He kept it as DD and sold the MultiTaito board, which is probably what I would have done if I had kept it.

As PrairedDillo mentioned, there are some noticeable scaling issues and I know there were some inaccuracies as far as emulation and sound. Let's be honest, it feels/looks funny playing games like Bubble Bobble and Zoo Keeper in a dedicated Double Dragon.

A classic Taito cab is the way to go. I know a few guys that have gone this route. Ideally, I would want to find a already JAMMAtized classic Taito cab with a 2P control panel and make a custom multi-Bubble Bobble cab (Bubble Bobble, Bubble Memories, Bubble Symphony, Puzzle Bobble). I doubt that will ever happen though. :)

I'm not sure if I agree. It all depends if your Multi Taito will run more late 80's Taito games or more Taito Classics.

Taito released the DD cab as a "Taito Universal" cabinet for a reason. I have the manual around here somewhere also.

I was speaking in terms of Gameroom Classics which is mainly mid-80s games.

Yes, DD is a Taito Universal, but not when it has DD marquee, bezel and CPO. It's juxtaposing to have full Double Dragon art (or Cadash, etc.) with classic Taito games. It's different when you have a classic Taito cab with art of one of the games you actually have running on the board.
