Multitech 220LH Chasis with Chunghwa A48AGY13X51 Tube

I puchased a pair of monitors last summer and I finally opened them yesterday. I was aware that they were without frames, but I did not know that they themselves were unassembled.

I have never assembled a monitor before. I am wondering if I can get any information on how to put these monitors together.

The chasis is a Multitech 220LH as described in this thread:

http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=145477

The tube is marked CHUNGHWA A48AGY13X51

Any information would be appreciated.

I was able to find 8liners.com and saw the model, but did not see any information on how to assemble it with a tube.

We figured out the one mystery part was the deguassing coil and wrapped it loosely around the tube. The second mystery part, a bare braided mesh, appears to be a ground. It connects to the neckboard. We connected the other end to the monitor frame. It has loops for what appears to be other possible connections, so we are still wondering about that.

At present the monitor appears to work.

Any idea about the braided mesh? (Sorry there are no photos.)

The braided mesh is the "ground" of the picture tube. It gets stretched from one side of the tube to the other with the mesh pressing against the black "DAG" coating. The ends of the mesh hook around the tube's mounting "ears". Then there should also be a wire soldered or connected to this mesh which will also connect to the ground terminal of the neck board.

If this mesh/ground is not connected to the neckboard, sparks and arcing will occur and possibly damage something.

This old website had excellent step-by-step pictures, but sadly it does not exist any more:

Perhaps the pictures or the site itself got saved on the Wayback Machine?
