MultiTaito boards

Two quick things, if you didn't get a request, then email me again it is possible I didn't cut and paste correctly. All requests that I received by email should be out.
Also, please do not just send money. I don't have a ton of these left from the stock for sale. Everyone who did, I got it, but please don't do this anymore, I will send a request.

Again, if you haven't gotten a paypal request, send PVGTech Multitaito in the subject with your email and KLOV ID in the body.

Never got a request and I emailed you again. Hopefully you still have 1 available since I posted early. Ill keep my eye out for the request

Emailed...I'm in for one.

Does anyone know if it would be possible to get this thing into my dedicated Zookeeper? It went belly-up, and I can't get a replacement board at ALL after years of trying.

Need a Jamma to Taito adapter, I guess. Do they exist?

I have build adapters for Stratovoxes(yes plural), the pin outs on Taito games are pretty easy. I monitor config is the biggest issue.

Ok, two things, There are 4 sspots left open for boards on preorder. If you pm'd me, please email me. PVGTech Multitaito in the subject. If you have not gotten a request...EMAIL ME AGAIN.

This is a one and done event. If I want to have another batch done it is insanely expensive, and I have to order a ton of them. I'm not taking a big profit on these, I'm not saying I'm not making anything, and I may sell a few for more on the website or ebay but I'm really trying to keep these reasonable on the forums. To make it worth considering getting another batch made it would probably be around 400-500 a board retail price. Otherwise the cost of investment is just to great(and those other sites would probably be charging quite a bit more than I am on this lot)

On that note, anyone who doesn't prepay by Thursday will be off the list. After the prepay period the price will most likely go up.

PS. I will answer pms and emails tonight, I'm on call so there's usually some down time, sorry for any delays.

havnt gone through all the pages so sorry if this has been covered but...
do we really need another multi board with a Space Invaders??
its a vertical and speaking of verticals...
why not have games likeAlpine Ski, Frontline, Wild Western, bombjack etc.
giving the user a choice of going H or V oreintation??

and why not add things like Pirate Pete when you got Jungle Hunt?
though I can see why no King due to licensing restrictions : (

This isn't a new board made for collectors. This board was made years ago by HanaHo for PVG Tech (now defunct), who made some multi arcade cabs for the home market. I doubt anyone is going to pony up the cash necessary to get HanaHo to develop and license any more games to run on this platform.

It sure would be nice if some enterprising tech would crack the encryption/decryption routine on these so we could play with adding roms, etc...

One of the nice things about the board is that you can change this bad boy to a 10 game Taito game (with nicer menu) or even an SNK NEO-GEO multigame by swapping the memory card... the files can be found online.

Can you provide a little more info on this or provide a link?

There seems to be a glut of these Hanaho Taito Gameroom Classic machines around my area. I picked up one for a hundred bucks and I know of two more locally that can be had for less than 200 each.

Yeah it would! ... there is alot of info in this thread:
http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=149720&page=4

Keys and such. But they never got into how to add or change the roms... There was one person on there with an NDA, but i am betting that may be over by now. Maybe it would be worth giving that guy a shout out!

His NDA is with the company who wrote the ZIP-cracking software he's using....
You can use the keys to unpack the archive, but you still need the password to pack it back up for the board to run it. I've used the keys to try to crack the password, and I can tell you it is 15+ characters, which makes it nearly impossible to crack in our lifetimes. The only hope is to read the EEPROM on the board and try to extract the password from there.

I just went back and re-read that. If it is the same board that is in that thread, the chips are surface mount right?? ...

Yes, otherwise I would have read it already. :)
But I'm thinking it may not be in the flash RAM anyway... I think that gets reprogrammed every time you switch SD cards. There's a Xilinx CPLD on there, and what appears to be a JTAG interface. I'll be picking up a JTAG programmer soon, so maybe I'll take a look at it then. It's possible (probable) that they've used the security features of the CPLD though.

if the company is defunct... is there no chance of getting in touch with the people that set it all up?!! It just seems crazy that we can't figure this out.

HanaHo made the boards and they're still in business. That's who they're buying them from. They're not going to tell us squat... and why would they?

I keep seeing references to the other images being "available online".
OK... I admit, I have spent a fair amount of time reading through post after post on this forum and others... and I have Google searched quite a bit too... and I cannot find even a real clue.
I apologize for being a helpless dummy.
Can someone maybe offer a couple of clues 'how' to find them?
I have the Taito 10 game PCB but would love to be able to change that.
Sorry for the thread derailment...
free bump!
