MultiTaito boards

...just finishing up the restoration of my Multi cab....

BTW... are these identical to the Hanaho boards or will there be any modification?

For those asking:

Emulation is pretty good. I noticed there is a slight sound qwark with Elevator Action compared to the original (nothing huge)... unfortunately there is also a sound bug in QIX that makes it unplayable for me (the background sound cuts out when you go to draw a line). For the most part I like the board... but it does have it's flaws.

The biggest drawbacks are:

No individual game settings. You get what you get and you're gunna like it bud...

No coin mode... freeplay is the only way to go.

Each game has slightly different resolutions so some games will be a little thinner than you'd want while others are wider... it's hard to find a perfect "happy medium".

Again... no individual game options sucks.

Some sound quarks in some games.

No high score saving... at all...

It's "mostly" JAMMA... though there are some pins that are used differently than JAMMA, like the menu and sound volume button pins... and it's oriented for a horizontal monitor.

One of the nice things about the board is that you can change this bad boy to a 10 game Taito game (with nicer menu) or even an SNK NEO-GEO multigame by swapping the memory card... the files can be found online.

Frizz, thank you for the clarification and accurate summary. These will be supplied with the 20 games, I can't get the other sets, but they are available online.

As far as the boards go, I'm pretty sure there was only one version of this board done.

I do have an update, I will be sending out paypal requests shortly. I shoudl be able to ship these out on 2/14.

I am sorry I will try to answer more of the questions later, we had interviews for our program yesterday so I'm playing catch up in a major way.

Price is fixed, I was told, regardless of quantity, unfortunately. I am buying everything that is available. I guess we could look to have some future production run, but I was told that if that ever happened it would be in quantities that would end up costing more than medical school did.
If i was getting 100's of emails, I would consider a larger run...or consider my price way to low lol. But the level of current interest is commensurate with the quantity I am able to get.
Nice to hear these will be available again, even in limited quantity. I would recommend you speak to ArcadeShop, others, etc. to see if they are interested in putting in a quantity order which may help you get a better price. That would also help ensure more of these are available for a longer period of time. Just an idea.

I may also get another one, depending on price (I already have one).
