I like the ten game menu better but hey I will give the 20 a run. These things are so cool... Im sure both images will be traded around like homie's old girlfriend.

yeah, the menu on the 10 is so much better but i'll take the extra games on the 20.

i really should get my Taito cabinet together so i can play me some Bubble Bobble and Zoo Keeper.

Yeah, I really paid for this board with the understanding that I would be able to use the 10 or 20 game Taito image, as well as the Neo Geo games. But I'll take what I can get and appreciate Bryan's efforts. But I think the original Taito multi boards would increase in value now since the newer ones won't have the Neo Geo ability.

+1 on that. I thought it was going to have all three's capability but i guess having the 10 or 20 is good too.

I just want to finally get it!! ..

Somebody school me on these things. I am not informed. There is a legit liscensed version and a bootleg version? Are they basically MAME? Somebody give me the run down please, I have a 10 Yard Fight dying for a makeover.

the original version was released for the multi-Taito home games by PVGTECH and produced by Hanaho. the same boards use emulation (but not MAME, AFAIK) to do a 10 game Taito, 20 game Taito, SNK (Neo Geo) and a never-released Capcom collection. these are run off of non-high density SD cards utilizing an SD slot built into the boards. they are JAMMA standard except for using the "tilt" circuit for a "menu" button.

the emulation is pretty darn good, better than MAME from what i've experienced.

there was a later run of bootleg (unlicensed) boards in 2009 or so that could use the original images.

there is a new run of boards which use a modified image file and apparently cannot use the original files. from all i can gather this is also a bootleg/unlicensed run.

oh, yeah, since these are for a home version there is no support for coining-up or credits just like a JROK multi-Williams. this kinda sucks for me since i use tokens for most of my games.

This is not a new run and is not a bootleg. Bryan bought the remaining stock from Hanaho. They just have an updated firmware that only recognizes the updated images.

ah. what i read wasn't clear but i must've missed it somewhere in the rather long thread/s. glad someone got what was left out there as it's a cool board that deserves to be in as many hands as possible.

Same here actually, I wasn't expecting the firmware to be any different and was looking forward to trying all three images. Oh well.

Not Bryan's fault of course, as I'm certain it's been extremely frustrating for him. I'm not sure why Hanaho seem to be so uptight about the images being distributed "unofficially" as I don't see how it could possibly gain or lose them any further sales either way. Business is business I guess.

Will be glad to receive my 20 game board. I'm sure that both the 10 and 20 game Taito images will be passed around without Bryan's involvement soon enough.

Hopefully we'll have it hacked too, and a rebuilt Neo Geo image will do the rounds. More incentive for that to happen now...

Thanks to Bryan for making it happen though! :)

I ordered a 10 game board last week. I am very excited. I have been reviewing a couple of threads and it appears we don't have any links right now to neo geo or 20 game correct. And the neo geo will work but not the 20.

No one has tested the Neo Geo that I know of. I am pretty sure it wont work atm. I know Bryan put a nice bounty on the project if anyone can solve the software issue the new board is having with the 20 game.

What's the best control panel layout for this board? I have a single player 8 way plus 3 button and I am wondering if this will work?
