Man I was all excited when I saw Tempest and Florida. Ouch though, the panhandle is like another state away from me in southwest Florida. I would love to grab that but its just a bit too far. If I can find a Florida collector that is making a trip this way and wants to make some money I will get back to you.

Thanks,
Todd

I am interested in Tempest. Can you fire of some pictures to [email protected]. It looks like there are plenty of offers to help with transport so I am very interested. It does seem the price changed from $350 to $400 from yesterday to today though. :(

Thanks so much to everyone, I will keep you all posted.

Not to mention the board set went from being "cracked" to in a cab for sale :(

The board was never listed as cracked, the boardset I refunded you on was an extra I had bought to make one good working boardset from, that received a nice crack while getting it ready to ship to you. This one has a few bad ROMs. The cab price increased slightly after I did some checking around and saw I was underselling it by a lot. Its still a lot cheaper than Craigslist and eBay.

Pics can be seen here: http://forums.arcade-museum.com/album.php?albumid=638

I have a lead on a good working boardset for $150, so I may end up keeping it if I get it in the next few days.

Tempest nonworking boardset, has 5 bad chips (listed on board) - $100 shipped

http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=217151

Sounds like the one I bought and was refunded to me, I offered to resend payment for the cracked board but you never replied :( I just needed some of the chips to fix three others I have.

Sounds like you just changed your mind to me....just like you raising the price after finding you were underselling it. Only with me you couldn't raise the price so you just simply refunded.

You are welcome to think what you want, but I think I know better than you what I have in my inventory. I never stated how many bad chips are on this board, as I have no way of testing. The board you bought, which I refunded you before it had even shipped I might add, was cracked right through the area where the ROMs are, hence why I didn't even bother to ask you if you still wanted it. I think most people would consider that a respectable thing to do, by not trying to pawn off a physically damaged board on someone after the fact. But its whatever. I'm not going to continue to argue with you and placate your ego after you blatantly tried calling me out, especially when you really have no idea what you're talking about. I've had plenty of positive dealings here and I will let my reputation speak for itself. Think what you want, you and I just won't have any more dealings in the future. Fair enough?

EDIT: Just to avoid the controversy and confusion, I've removed Tempest from the listing. I'd rather fix it myself then have my reputation called into question and tarnished by people whom want to cause problems. Once its up and running with the new board, I may relist it at some point in the future.

FYI I don't need the roms but it's whatever like you said. I offered to resend full payment for your cracked board after you issued the refund but you never replied…..why not sell your cracked board for some money instead of nothing?

It's pretty obvious now what happened but you can say what you like, just as you raised the price on your Tempest cab only after you figured it was worth more, you took my money figured it was worth more so you refunded me. No big deal just a real douch move.

I already came to this conclusion.

You know if you took a simple pic and posted it of this Tempest board set with a crack right down the roms like you said, I think that would clear up any issues with your reputation and I would be the first to apologize.

Well I wont be interested in a working Tempest. I like my games broken and cheap. I still didn't have an issue at $400 I was just making an observation on the price change. I would have passed anyway with all the drama surrounding this thread now if the game was still available. Well at $400 anyway. ;)

Good luck with the rest of your sales and buyers.

Todd
