So many good suggestions/guesses!

The only one I see that hasn't been mentioned yet (I think) was:

So I'll put that in as my guess even though I imagine one of the other guesses is more likely (like Asteroids or Pole Position or Donkey Kong) :) .

I'm more with your version than the cranky one. :)
 
Gotta be a non-emulation multi (those already abound).....so it's really about a hardware add-on board or an FPGA based muti. Does that narrow the universe?
