Multigame Happy Hours/iCade 60-in-1 boards - any difference?

Is there a difference between the quality of the "Happy Hours" and "iCade" 60-in-1 boards I see sold on various sites? I'm curious if one is a cheap imitation of the other, given the price differences I've seen between the two online.

Thanks!

Its basically the same hardware, same programming, same games. Just one is a different version than the other. Most 48-1's have "Happy Hours", and most 60-1's have "iCade", but some 60's have "Happy Hours" as well, if I'm not mistaken.

Not sure about the iCade but the Happy Hours has the most ridiculous amateur crappy graphics for a menu I've ever seen in my whole damn life, I think they could have been a LITTLE more creative.

ha.. the Happy hours menu music is shitty bad.. and the happy hour name / logo have much room for improvement..

you would think that the music would annoy even the foreigners who are producing it... I mean.. their taste can't be too much different than ours...

kind of nsfw kinda

um...they have a monthlong penis fertility festival in japan where grandmas and little kids eaqt penis candy penis hotdogs and penis ice cream..

Im not kidding!!

I had thought the ones I've seen advertised here by Nixs were all "Happy Hours." Maybe I'm wrong.

My only point is, it dosent matter. They are all the same. Only the title on the menu is different. Is this really a deal breaker for anyone? Whats the debate? Its a cheap bootleg, expect to get what you pay for.

Oh, and the only difference between the 48 and 60 is 12 more games (acually more like 7, with the pacs and galaga on twice for convenience of switching fast/slow), and the 60 has trackball support.

You answered my question... thanks. The only debate in my mind was, is there a difference between the two. Knowing how prevalent knockoffs are, it seemed possible given the $120-$160 price range of those sorts of products. And it seems like the answer is no. 48-in-1 boards seem to have been superceded/replaced by 60-in-1 according to the various website references I saw today.

I am unfamiliar with these things, and somebody was asking me about the two "brand names." So, if my questions on them are dumb, I'm sorry. Pleading ignorance. Thanks again...

slight differences

i believe that "Happy Hours" is the 48-1 and the "iCade" is the 60-1. that has been my experience.

See attached picture of the 48-in-1 Happy Hours.

You realize you resurrected an almost 10 year old thread? Regardless, 60-in-1 are still around and can be seen at auctions, ebay, craigslist, etc. Directly from China can be bought for $30+.

Funny, I didn't look at the date and read the thread wondering what this new "Happy Hours" board was all about thinking that they finally improved the icade board.....no such luck.

This is actually a really cool thread because of the history it shows.
1. The 60 in 1 is still the exact same as it was ten years ago (I wonder how many of those units have been sold in that time?). Nobody has even bothered to fix the sound on Time Pilot...
2. The folks on this board haven't changed a bit.

I know there are many multicade options but the king is the 60 in 1......if they could revamp the hardware thanks to both over 10 years or hardware advancement and over 10 years of linux/mame (surely unlicensed) software advancement, add a few more games so that it is 100 in 1 and come out with a similar pricepoint they could really make a killing on people upgrading their boards.
