not sure if this is the right section but i put together a multicade system with jamma harness and good power supply thru jammaboards.com. The system works awesome except after the first turn on it just "reboots" in the middle of the first game or 2?
Seems like its a onetime thing then it works fine. anyone else run into this before? thxs paul

I would assume you have a 60-1 right?
Is it always the same game that causes the reboot or any game?
disconnect the PCB and fire up the cabinet and measure your +5 voltage.
Some boards require a tad more juice however don't exceed +5.5VDC
also ensure your cabinet has the 3rd prong "ground" on the AC connector.

disconnect the PCB and fire up the cabinet and measure your +5 voltage.

This won't work. The power supply requires a load to output correctly. If you disconnect it, you'll get a false reading.

Take your reading right behind the JAMMA harness, on the PCB. Also meter it on the power supply itself. If there is a large discrepancy, there's an issue somewhere. Large meaning 3/4 volt or more.

thxs fellas,,,,i upped the voltage to 5.1 and its working perfect. arent forums great,,,,,,

still had the issue once in awhile. for hahas i checked the voltage with a multimeter (it has a digital readout) it was off a bit, the meter read 5.1 but was only 4.7 volts. Then i found a 240v/120v switch on the bottom of the unit. it didnt come with a manual so i didnt even know that switch was there. weird why it would be default set at 240volts but whatever. i turned it to 120 volts and was able to up the 5 volt voltage to 5.2 and its working great now. live and learn right
