I bought the multicade midway CP with the trackball for my 60in1a project.

I was wondering what connector is on the back there in the picture. I will be using a jamma harness. I wanted to know what to buy so i can wire it up on the jamma harness side so it plugs right in. Do I have to do anything special for the trackball?

Thanks.

I believe it's a standard midway connector for direct plug-in to a pac, ms. pac, or galaga control panel connector. if you use a JAMMA adapter instead of a JAMMA harness, then you shouldn't have to do much except run some extra wires to the CP for the buttons, and such.

If you have a JAMMA ready cab already, then you'll probably need to make a connector that will match that one.

I usually put these together and wire them myself, instead of buying it prebuilt, because it saves about $30-40. That also means I'm not sure if they wire the trackball into that connector or not. The trackball will have it's own connector, and is either wired into the main CP connector or is hanging free for you to use to connect it to the board. there is an on-board connector you can use for the trackball - and a special wiring harness for doing so from Bob Roberts, maybe Dokert, or just make it yourself - or you can connect it to the Player 2 joystick wiring. Depending on whether you have the "A" version or "B" version of the 60-in-1, you may find that the trackball doesn't work with the on-board connector and you'll have to use it with the Player 2 wiring....

Thanks for the information. I have a 60in1a version so i think i can use the trackball connectors. I guess I'll see when I the CP comes in. I need to figure where I can get the proper connector for the CP->Jamma connection.

Thanks again!
