I'm fairly new to the hobby of arcade gaming and needed some advice. I am interested in buying or constructing a multigame arcade cabinet for the home. I have seen several newer versions of these multicades. The cabinets contain either 9-in-1 or 39-in-1 boards with many of the classic games. What is the best way to obtain one? Should I buy a new one or convert an older jamma cabinet and buy a multi-board to put in it? Any input would be appreciated?

Those boards suck, mainly because they mix games with different control inputs. I've seen some that mix 4-way, 8-way, and trackball games before

Plus they cost a small fortune; for the same amount of money, you could put together a small computer to run MAME.

A new cabinet will always cost more than a used one. You'll still have to build a control panel for the games you're going to make anyway.

You buy the multi boards from [email protected]

That's where my friend just bought two 39 in 1 boards.
