the cheapest is getting free crt's off craigslist

monitor- used/rebuilt is the cheepest way to get a decent long lasting unit. Can tubeswap to make it look fresh. The days of $189 new crt monitors is over.

Used atx computer power supplies can be had super cheap and power the multiboards well.

dont know who has ther best deal on trackballs right now. As far as i remember some boards supposted spinner sone didnt. ( would be a good question for nixs)

8liners... Plus 60 to ship.

I just bought a new one from him a month ago for 170 shipped.
I guess prices had to go up. Couldnt hurt to ask for the 170 shipped
price see if he'll give it to you.

If you want an LCD, you need a 19"'because you can get a 4x3 ratio, dont want a widescreen. Used to be able to get them for $99 but haven't bought any computer stuff recently.
Twistedquarter has the best price for Happ trackballs, sometimes has sales, check website and eBay as prices are sometimes different.

If the multiboard supports a trackball, it will work with a spinner, you just use the horizontal connections.

So for cheapest, look for a 4x3 19" LCD (maybe used) or a free craigslist 21" CRT.
Use a free computer supply to power the board.

Best I saw in a quick search was an Acer for $139 plus $14 shipping at newegg, although they had others with less shipping.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...0030613 600012347&IsNodeId=1&name=1280 x 1024

Also buy.com has an ASus for $147 with free shipping

Or an Acer for $148 and free shipping

For Happ trackballs twisted quarters web site is only $49 plus shipping, but on eBay they have them on sale for only $45 plus $8 shipping (each additional $3 shipping)

If you are building these for profit.. get a business taxid and go to
happ directly and cut out the middle man.

Trackball needs to to have red circuit boards in it too... green boards are much harder to get working..
