OK got a question for everyone, Maybe you've run into this. SO I'm building a 60-1 multicade cocktail and the guys wants a LCD monitor. No problem. I get a multisync vga input monitor and go to test it, to set up the screen prior to install. I cannot get the screen to fit the entire area. it won't center horizontally. ( no mattter what I try in the menu setting) So I try a different 60-1 pcb( same thing). Then I try a old 48-1 and the damn thing works great all centered and works perfect.

So is there anything about the 60-1's that are different for the sync signal. They work fine with the older CRT computer monitors but these newer LCD's just don't seem to work. I had the same issues with two now.
Ross.

I have had 60n1 boards that refused to work with certain monitors. I have no answer as to why but it happens. For no reason, the newer boards have had issues with HP monitors. Swap it with an ACER and they work. Not all boards, just some. No rhyme or reason.

and you tried the factory reset on the monitor a couple times. or went to the geometry (whatever it is called on your monitor) and done the auto-correct? i've had that happen before but it is usually fixable with a monitor reset, sometimes a couple tries at it.

do you have a clock phase setting and extra stuff like that?

i had just one monitor that did the same thing when using a multi-williams board. something to do with the way the sync signal is being handled.

at least used LCDs are still cheap for getting a different one.
