Hey guys, my multiboard screen never changes when not playing. It's stuck on the games selection page and when you pick a game it accepts the game credit, then immediately goes into the game without letting me hit player 1 to start the game. Thoughts?

It always stays on the same game? hit the fire button and see if it gives you a game preview. Try using the joystick to change games. If so with either, then it is on the game select screen, not the attract screen, and is waiting for you to select a game. Pushing the start button starts the game it is currently on.

Is the game on free play? Check the start buttons to see if one is bad. Is it on quarters? Check the coin switches to see if any are bad.

Put it into input test and see if any switches are registering...

60 in 1 board? It almost sounds like attract mode is off and it's set to free play. Turn dipswitch 4 to the on postion and turn the game on. It will come up in test mode. Run through all the test screens and options. Make sure to check the Attract mode setting and the free play setting.

I just re-read the original post - when you say you "pick a game", how are you doing this exactly? Sounds like you have some wires crossed or a bad switch somewhere...

I'll check the attract mode to see if it's checked, it's a 48in1 and it is in freeplay. I don't remember a check for the attract mode except for sound so i'll check it tommorrow. I can move to different games and all the buttons seem to work so hopefully that's it. I'll post back.

Turning on or off the attract sounds or music will not affect how the menu works. You may try switching it off (or on) free play to see if that has any bearing...

Took it off freeplay and the screen changes like it's supposed too. Wierd. Not sure why freeplay would make the attraction screen never change.

Did you put it into input test to see if anything was registering when it wasn't supposed to?

It's the very last screen if you go into test mode (where you took it off of free play). If you go into service mode, it's the 2nd screen...
