So, I am in the middle of converting my dedicated Williams Joust machine into a Multi-Williams machine with a JROK.
But I am also a HUGE fan of Moon Patrol, and wished that it was included with the Multi-Williams.

I noticed that you could manually upload roms into the JROK board.. would it be possible to load a Moon Patrol instead of something like Defender or Splat (titles I dont really care for) and get to play Moon Patrol?

thanks in advance.
Joe

Moon Patrol has a completely different hardware baseline, the JROK wouldn't play the MP code even if you were able to upload it. What you can do (I did this) is put in a JAMMA switcher and add a working Moon Patrol board stack with a JAMMA to IREM adapter (you'll have to make sure the +12v JAMMA pin is getting power for sound to work on Moon Patrol). Add a pushbutton switch on your control panel and you're all set.

I have a couple of spare adapters if anybody is looking to do this BTW. $20 plus shipping.

RiddledTV makes really nice jamma switchers, and another option is the ArcadeSD board, with it I have Moon Patrol AND Sinistar, and like 70 others..

As DrewZ says, you really want an ArcadeSD. It's emulation not FPGA, but it's excellent emulation. You could easily sell your JROK board for close to what you paid for it.

Thanks for your responses..
I already have owned an ArcadeSD and sold it, as I ended up getting an ArPicade unit and it works GREAT.

I was just hoping to add Moon Patrol to the Williams set..
If thats the case, then I will live with what I have on this Multi-Williams JROK and enjoy it.

Have a great day guys and thanks again!
