Just a thought..use
-a Space Duel style cabinet
-ZVG
-vectorMAME
-the multi panel that was made

and a 25" Amplifone or WG6100 setup.. 25" TV tube, the scratch built Amplifone style setup that a few here have done.

Assuming you can shoehorn the 25" tube into that cabinet, has anyone done this yet or is anyone considering it?

I thought if I ended up piecing a new vector monitor together from repro parts with a new tube, might as well go 25" on it for that project? Just an idea right now.

Scratch the Space Duel plan. I plan on locating a 4 player Dynamo HS-5 cab like an Xmen or TMNT and build the 25" vector monitor in an old wood bottom Wells Gardner monitor frame. Then you can have the 25" monitor and enough CP space to put nearly every control you would ever need. Twin Spinners for Space duel, Track ball for Quantum, couple joysticsk for Black Widow and as many buttons as you need. Whatever floats your boat. Plus you can always get repro side art to give it that Space Duel, Black Widow, Lunar Lander......feel.

The only downside is you may have to mount the monitor horizontal.

Yes, my ZVG will have a 25" Screen, and will fit into a scratch built Black widow cab, with Dans sideart, and an Amplifone Monitor (of course) . . .
:D

I have 5 x 100 degree 25" TV tubes in the stockpile

Will a 25" tube fit in the Space Duel cab?

With the right brackets, the width is just enough (same as a SW cockpit) but by my measurements you'd need another inch or so of depth. The 25 inch tube is about 20.5 inches from from face to neck pins, and with my tape measure touching the smoked glass I get 20.25 to the back door of my Space Duel cab. If you find a way please share! Best of luck as it's what I've been dreaming of, too. In the meantime I'm making do with a 19" Amp which makes Space Duel/Gravitar and soon MH/Black Widow look great!
