I need a show of hands to see if making a Multi Vector control panel harness is worth my time. I have no idea what the cost will be, as I have not gone and looked at this thing yet. I am planning on stopping by Shilmover's in the next few days to take a look at it and see what all it requires.

So, Who would be interested in a Multi Vector control panel harness?

Just something to consider here, there is no standard "pcb" for a harness to connect to when using mame. How will you know what type of keyboard/joystick/spinner encoder the controls will be connected to and what type of connections they accept? Some people will use an ipac but others may use a keywiz or an x-arcade and there are many ways to connect a spinner. This is mame territory here, things are a little different.
And ZVG is NOT a turnkey deal, waaay long away from that. Best of luck!

He has a point BUT what could be done is leave the spinner and keyboard encoder wires bare being most the encoders just have a screw to hold the wire. What would be the same is the joystick and button connectors with maybe .187 quick connects on the ends and a daisy chained ground like on a standard JAMMA harness. I guess for the spinner it could have a 5 pin molex and be cut off if needed.

Guess I wasn't clear on this, or maybe I am confused. This will be for the Shilmover control panel that was sold by takeman.

Yeah, just make a harness that connects to the layout of the panel. Terminate it like an Atari control panel, or a couple of connectors. I would then connect whatever I do to connectors to mate to that. It would just be one step in simplifying the build of that project. I'm in for one.

Have any guesstimate of how much? I'd most likely get one if they aren't too pricey.
