Planning on posting the pics tonight.... but Im building out my multi-taito finally.

Just picked up a green taito cab that I am gutting right now... luckily for me it was already jammatized when I picked up the game. It originally was a Jungle King that was converted to Silkworm. Im planning on dropping the multi taito board in the cab.

I have a few routes I can go that and was looking for some opinions:

1. I purchased a beautiful CP, Glass Bezel, and glass marquee elevator action kit I was originally planning to use with the multi taito board. Seems like most recommend this setup for multi taito builds. Drop them in after touching up cab and be done.

2. After stripping the crap off of the control panel that was used for silkworm I started thinking that since the extra holes were drilled it would make for a good 2 player setup (but Im not sure I can even do 2 player same time with the multi taito board? Bubble bobble simultaneous 2 player would be cool) Get a Jungle King CPO and have a custom 2 player setup.

3. Restore the control panel to Jungle King. Use the JK bezel that came with the machine I bought and find a marquee. Us this with my multi-taito board.

I already have the $$ in the Elevator Action kit so spending more for the jungle king parts is not as desirable... but I will prob hold on to the CP for future projects and drop a CPO on it. Thoughts?

Yes, as long as you're set up for 2 players, you're good to go. I'm doing the same to an Alpine Ski cab. I was lucky to have bought a metal CP from someone local. He got it got fabricated for a 2 player setup as he was going to do the same to a jungle king cab. I'm going to strip off the black paint covering it as I don't mind the blue & black setup but I've already ordered side-art from ThisOldGame in case it doesn't look too good. The side-art I odered is the "Space Dungeon" blue & black though.

Good luck!

I bought mine from a fellow Klover who pulled it out of one of the taito bartop machines they pop up on here every once in a while

Just a heads up the paradise arcade version cannot support the 20-in-1 card like the one you pull out of the bartop which can utilize the 10-in-1 or the 20-in-1...

Big shout out to ThunderBunny for helping me out with the marquee bracket the cab was missing... he was kind enough to just go ahead and ship it to me. People like ThunderBunny make this community as great as it is... thanks man!!!

Good plan. Go for the 2 player set up. Mine is going to be Elevator Action themed also. Have a great bezel marquee and CP in a gray/black Qix cab. All wired, just need to acquire the board. I was thinking of going arcade SD to get more games for the space.

This is what I did...

multi taito

djsolzs -- your cabinet looks good for being unrestored.

My cabinet is green also, but not as nice.

I am also, am going with Elevator Action setup and have been keeping my eye out for a multi taito board.

FrizzleFried-- your cabinet looks sharp!

Hey guys yeah Im pretty happy with the condition of the cab. Here are a few more pics. Im still on the fence about the 2 player cp or just doing what frizzle did with elevator action (great work by the way)

multi-taito

For pretty much the same cost as finding a multi-taito board you can get the ArcadeSD. Run it in horizontal mode and you get most of the games on the multi-taito board and several other good titles. Plus high score saves. The multi-taito doesn't save scores.

Interesting idea... I already picked up my multi taito for 160 are the arcadesd boards over 300?

Questions around bulbs for marquee and the three in the shroud anyone know what kind they take?

Sorry to hi-jack but I have a bartop machine I'm looking to get rid of. I bought 7 of these and was going to keep this one, but as always, I have waaay too many other projects up front. This is my last bartop machine, complete. PM me if interested.

I would do both if I were you. Use the 2 player CP you have but also get a 1 player CP and finish it off as a jungle king or elevator action. That way you have a restored cab and just by switching CP's you can enjoy the multi-taito or whatever you put in there.

Yeah I like that idea too... since I already have elevator action kit I just need to decide what CPO I should get for the 2 player CP... Jungle King or Elevator action. If I went with Jungle King I would have to find a bezel, marquee, and CPO where if I did another EA CP I would just need to find the CPO. Not sure its worth holding on to/paying for two kits just to swap out... I appreciate the input
