Yep, and the hardware is notoriously finicky. I have one that I was NEVER able to use. The FIRST problem that I had was that it uses the "Japanese" orientation, meaning that the image is rotated 180 degrees in the WRONG direction for a US cabinet. And i could NEVER find a setting/option to flip the screen image. You can re-wire the yoke to fix this, but that doesn't help if you want to use other boards in the same cabinet.
Then, after giving up initially, I tried plugging it in at a later date, and it wouldn't go past the PC boot screen. Now it's an expensive doorstop, as far as I am concerned. I think that there DEFINITELY would be a market for such a board, but at this time, the closest thing that you will find is to buy a Japanese Xbox 360 and import the Cave and various other shooters that have been released for it. Some people even wire them into their candy cabinets since the newer ones feature monitors that will accept the higher resolution 31khz inputs...
