On another post someone mentioned that a multi-Qbert pcb may be re released soon. Anybody have any info on this-True or just another rumor?
I would love to get one, and I know another friend that would be interested in one.

there are two things that are real that you may be talking about. One is the multi qbert kit that Mike Doyle is making and has made before. I have one in my qbert now. This kit is not a stand alone board though it is installed on an original qbert board and allows you to play 8 different games I believe. Most are variations of qbert.

Then you have the jrok multi mylstar board which is in the works. This is basically a jamma pinned out board designed so it should run exactly like the original hardware (original pcb's) I believe it will include qbert and some similar qbert variation (like the multi qbert kit) qberts qubes, reactor, and a few more that slip my mind. Jrok has already proved he can do this by completing his previous project the multi williams which pretty much set the bar for the multi williams board. I even know that jrok was very close to having this finished some time ago but I believe he has priorities that have kept him from finishing the project. So in short I totally believe this project will get finished but i have no idea when it will be done. Could be a month or two more years. jrok doesn't drop in here much anymore so i assume he's pretty busy.

Fingers crossed that this happens. I'd love to turn my Legendary Wings back into a Q-bert (it is in a converted Q-cab).

PM sent re: the 8 in 1 Multi Q*bert for original hardware.

HI Mike,
Thanks, I got your PM, but thought I would ask this question on list in case someone else was wondering.
I believe p1899m answered my basic question, but I'll put it to you for the whole scoop-Would I need a original working Qbert pcb to make yours work, or will it connect up to a Gottlieb or jamma harness? Here is why I ask. I love Qbert, but do not have a Qbert game, but would love to take a nice cab and convert it to a "multi Qbert" game for my gameroom. I also have a friend that does have a nice Qbert game, but has had alot of issues with the PCBs, recently it died and he said he's had enough and the game got pulled from the arcade and is in indefinite storage:.(. Just being honest with you, if it needs an original Qbert pcb to run, I(and my friend) may not be interested in it at this time, but if it can run on its own/or can do away with most of Gottlieb's crappy electronics, than I will definitely put in orders for it.
Thanks for your info

My kit runs original code on the original board, so you'll need a working Gottlieb board to install the kit on. The advantage being easy plug and play installation, no need to rewire the cab, genuine speech via the SC-01 and a working knocker; all important aspects to collectors.
