Hey I purchase 2 of these multi-jamma 6-1 boards and I can't get either to work. I connect the board to my jamma, and attached like 2 games to it, but all I get is a black screen. I try all the buttons on the remote, but nothing happens. The power supply fan spins for a second, then stops. Then when I turn the arcade game off, the power supply fan kick on for a few seconds and a light goes on and off very quickly on the multi jamma. I tried the games w/o the multi jamma and they work fine. I know I had the simpsons and spiderman hooked up, and I don't believe either of those games use -5V. Has anyone else had this problem?

Just curious -- where did you get the 6-1 boards?

I got them off ebay. I think the sellers name was Yaton. I had him send a replacement after the first one didn't work. Now I have 2 boards with the same problem. I think the issue is on my end, but I can't figure why. All my boards work on their own, and I even have one of those capcom 18-1 boards that works perfectly on my setup.

sounds like the power supply is not sensing a load to keep it on, just for the heck of it hook up a bulb or resister to the +5 and see if that keeps the power supply on.

Those Y-Tech (Yaton) 6-in-1 switchers are absolute garbage. Most here who've tried to use them have to make modifications to get them to work. Yaton garbage = Chinese crap.

They arent so much crap as they are just pinned out funny. You need to wire it manually for test switch and coin up. I made mine work fine, and its a beaut, but it wasnt plug and play.

regardless if you have a board in any of the slots, you should be able to switch slots with that remote. Sure you dont have the harness on upside down? If a board is put on your harness and works, but that multi switcher gets put on there and doesnt, then its the pinout thats funny. You have a standard jamma harness? or is it something that was hacked in.

I have the original Jamma+ connector/power supply that came with my wrestlefest cabinet. I'm assuming the capcom 18-1 board uses a lot of juice and it turns right on when it's connected to the jamma. Also, I have over a dozen boards that turn right on on there own. I don't have a voltage tester, but I've adjusted the knob on the power supply and it didn't help. I don't think I'm plugging the multijamma in upside down, although the thought had crossed my mind. I'm plugging the part side of the board into the part side of the jamma. I didn't wanna reverse it because I figured for sure I would blow something.

I got my 6 in 1 from Jammaboards and it works fine.

When I first got it though I couldn't get consistant power because I was using a harness extender. The harness extender was causing the individual boards to become ungrounded when it was combined with the switcher. Just an FYI if you're using an extender harness.

I am using harness extenders on all my boards with no problem at all.
I did have to switch the extenders around till all worked, strange thing an extender wouldn't work right on one board but OK on another one.
The main harness goes directly to the switcher without an extender though.
I am using a Jammaboards switcher also.

Yaton

I have bought 1 of the 6 ways and 2 of the 2 ways. None of the three worked out of the box. Mostly ground issues but the problems were different between the 3. All I have kept is a 2 way that I fixed and have been running it problem free for almost 2 years now. (knock on wood.) I would imagine I would have heard about the other 2 if they quit working as well. Probably still going. Good luck. Arcadeshop ones are nice.

I'm not using an extender although I was going to purchase one. Jammaboards was out of stock of the 6-1 multijamma, so I ended up getting it off ebay. It looks exactly the same, and the seller seems to have sold a bunch. People on this forum seem to be familiar with his name. I saw it mentioned in some other posts reguarding this board. I really wish I was better at this stuff, I do appreciate the help. Thanks guys
