I am getting close to the point of starting my Multi Exidy project and need some advice. Originally I was going to build a Cheyenne from a Exidy cab I have already. Yesterday, a Crossbow fell into my lap unexpectedly. It's complete other than a PCB. "Side art, Bezel, CPO look great" I already have a working Crossbow and Cheyenne PCB I can throw in there. My question is this. What is a better setup for the Multi kit? Shotgun or Bow? I was thinking shotgun before I obtained the Crossbow. Now that I have the Crossbow maybe it makes since to just use the bow? Any thoughts would be great. Thanks

Man that looks so cool with the crossbow. I would keep it how it is and put in the PCB. I would not change that thing at all! It looks great.

The shotgun goes with more games on the kit, but there were also woodgrain shotguns, all black shotguns, and the stubby shotgun on some of them like Showdown and Who Dunnit. But since you are using a Crossbow cab I'd keep the bow to keep the machine original. Game play is not effected and I personally think the crossbow is the coolest of the guns. You will love the kit once you have it all set up!

I definitely am looking forward to getting the Multi going. Crossbow does look cool but my heart was kind of set on Cheyenne. It's my step daughter's name. Thought it would get her in the arcade more. Hmm

I once saw a photo of a Cheyenne with the wood stock shotgun. The owner had put some type of buckskin or rawhide fringed sheath over the barrel. It looked prety "Western" to me, like it came out of a movie or something. If you have your heart set on Cheyenne, just sell off the Crossbow to get a Cheyenne. the side art on Cheyenne is pretty cool, and its a bonus if your step daughter likes it!

Damn! Not a bad thing to have fall into the lap! Is the side art as nice as the rest?...good score.

It sure is. Got a call from the op I bought the majority of my games from. I hope he finds some more hidden gems.

I had a Multi-Exidy in a Crossbow cab. It was the bee's tits.

I'd recommend going that route... unless you can find a Chiller.

As a whole I like the Crossbow set up with the wooden crossbow. I think it looks funny if you have the crossbow sideart, cpo and marquee and have the black shotgun.

If the Cheyenne art was readily available, I would consider doing a Cheyenne set up. It would have to have a wood stock gun though, the black stock doesn't look right to me.
