mulit rotary help

i finally got around to putting my rotary boards together. upon testing neither work so i must have done something wrong. the instructions from what i read dont mention the last to holes on each stick. would this have something to do with it. pics attached for helping with the issue. i did each one exactly the same

i will reflow some solder but what about the orientation of the parts and the non used 2 holes at the end? i am hoping someone who has done this can confirm
 
The board looks right to me, aside from the solder being questionable. It looks like that cable in the 2nd pic should be plugged into the end connector. In other words the rotary harness plugs into the last connector on the board. Make sure the purple wire is on the pin with the GND jumper. The cable from the mainboard to the condenser should be a straight patch cable with no wires crossing over.

If i interpreted your images incorrectly I do apologize.
 
got it working. it was some of the solder joints. this was my first real soldering test. feel much better about doing it now. thanks for all the input
