I have a HTC 9110 and once powered up the fan kicks on then immediately shuts off.
I am trying to follow this troubleshooting guide here : http://www.swallowam.co.uk/monitor.htm#2
So I pull one leg of D10 and it powers up and I get a screen, so it says to test C36, C37, C40 and C41 but I don't know how to test them if someone can give me some tips on how to check if good or bad?

You can check them from beiing shorted with a common multimeter. Apart from the flow chart, that circuit is small so take a "look" to the other components too

Need to replace the Box Cap's

To know for sure if they are the Big problem.

The Box's don't short they open up and most

of the time test good with test equipment.

Now if the belly of the part is all brown and cracked

or cap partly bulged, it needs to be replaced.

If they short you should be killing B+ or blowing fuse's Right?

get the values call the distributer for parts, replace all at once

because the HOT has been runni9ng hot it gets replace even if its working

and flyback.

Or sub the chassis with another chassis and not an Hantarex!

post the ohms on the yoke. if you want to use it and tube.

if you don't want to mess with this one.
