I encouraged people to find the final document, not the first draft. It's unfortunate that that's the one that was archived.

Sorry. I missed the part that there were multiple versions and that the one I linked was the first draft.

If anyone stumbles across the final version, please post so that those of us who can not see the errors in Mark's first draft can be correctly enlightened.

I didn't have time to actually read what I wrote 10 years ago, but the horizontal count being wrong jumped out at me... there's 288 lines, not 286 (which I should have noticed made no sense back then, as it's not divisible by 8). The counters have a synchronous load, so the count resets occur 2 clocks after what's described in the doc.
