I have a friend that just bought a Ms Pacman Reunion Cabaret model on ebay for $900 plus $400 shipping. Supposedly in perfect shape. Deal or no deal?

I have seen the full sized standup sell often enough to gauge an approximate value but never a cabaret.

deal

seems like a deal to me,, when they were new there was virtually no big price difference in the two..... he should be happy with that, would have been an awesome deal if he didnt have to ship it..

The boardset alone normally runs $300ish. I say deal. 3 all time classics in one. Pacman is also on the board if I'm not mistaken.

Thats about the going price, not bad. Does it have that stupid fake coin door on it?

I believe it does. It would be super simple to install a coin door I'm just not sure if it would be worth putting on in or not.

Ms Pac's sell around these parts super quick during Xmas time.

The MsPac/Galaga machines are still a big money maker at arcades. You dont see too many arcades that dont have one or more.

I still see them in arcades as well. It doesn't stop them from looking like ass, though. That half assed artwork just annoys me. Like fingernails on a chalkboard. Given the amount of money they made on those you would thing they colud at least come up with decent art.

I recently bought the 25 year anniversary cabaret cab for $499 on ebay.. VERY happy with it, and best of all my wife LOVES it. And I think it was an absolute steal, and doubt I could find one that cheap again.

Keep in mind mine doesn't have the 25" monitor or the coin door/mechanism, so I would value the larger commercial one higher than mine, although mine was perfect for my arcade and is what I wanted..

These are the ones with the 25" monitor right? Mspac just doesnt look right on a 25. I guess it depends what your used to....

I really like the reunion cabs. 25" doesn't bother me at all. The cabaret has a 19" though.
