Hi folks,
by looking at a diagnosis by picture site I think I have a ram chip problem (4n and 4k)... My question is, what is the proper way to remove and replace the chips? They don't look like they are soldered like many of the others. Can I pry them off? Use pliers? I'm cautious of making more of a mess out of things, as I have very little experience dealing with boards. Thanks in advance for any guidance!

very carefully with a small screwdriver if you dont have an ic remover tool. you can switch it with one of the other rams and see if the problem goes away

So I swapped the 4n with 4m and the 4k with the 4l, and got a different crazy screen. Should I buy 6 new ones and swap them all out? Also, now that I am asking for diagnosis advice, I should give some more specific info: I just moved the machine from one house to another. Prior to the move it worked well. It definitely got jostled a bit during the move. Also, when it is trying to boot there is a constant clicking noise coming from the coin mechanism. I had assumed this would resolve once the ram issue was sorted, but I figure it's best to detail all new issues... Thanks for any advice!

Update

For some reason I stopped getting notification when responses were posted, so I actually didn't see the other replies until just now... I ordered 6 of the 2114s just in case, but after replacing the 2 bad chips that I first suspected (thanks to http://www.arcadegameover.com/pactrouble.html) it now works great. Coincidentally, I did order from Twisty Wrist Arcade without seeing Buffet's recommendation, and I was very happy with price, shipping speed, and packaging. I'm really happy to have the machine fixed. Thank you very much for the advice and help!
