So my Ms Pacman just stopped working after moving all the sudden. It use to come on and there was no sound every now and then but after this move now it just shows a black screen. When you first turn it on you will get like a sudden light up screen but then the light collapse into itself and just a black screen.. Any ideas ?

This could be a number of things, but to start, confirm your 284 and 285 are firmly seated, along with the row 6 ROMs.

And the Ms Pac-Man roms and daughterboard cable.

Also, 'test' the game to see if it plays blind and isn't just a monitor problem.

You need to verify each of the 3 main components every time. Verify Monitor works, Verify correct Power is getting to pcb, and lastly verify pcb. Turn up the brightness on monitor and if you get white screen most likely it is ok. Measure AC power at the diodes on board, check edge connector and pcb card edge fingers for damage.

I wouldn't doubt it is edge connector problem based on "moving it" stopped working, but that could be a coincidence as well.

If your sound was having problems before the pcb also likely needs to be recapped but is secondary to your current issue.

My PCB and my 6 pac multi game expansion board got damaged after I moved as well. Our buyer had his interest rates locked in for a certain time frame, and he forgot about this date and agreed to a closing date at a time after that. When he realized his financing was in jeopardy if we didn't close before his interest rate changed on him, we had to scramble to get the house packed up and things in the moving pods. Long story short, I forgot to take all the quarters out of my games and when the pac man got moved somehow the quarters managed to smash things up a bit. Had to send the PCB and the 6 pac off to be repaired. Things happen during moves that's for sure...

Sorry I stopped watching this thread here because I noticed there was a monitor forum so I re-posted it there and been there mainly. I posted pics of the chassis and the PCB board and the fingers on the board are kinda nasty looking so possibly could be that when I get off tomorrow I am going to try and get the excess solder off it. Just wondering is there a place I can get stuff that I can fix the fingers on the edge connector ? Like Walmart or a store thats around big neighborhoods ? I am also going to post a video tomorrow of what the arcade is doing so everyone can see it from my perspective. Maybe that will help. It will be posted to my youtube channel below in the signature tomorrow some time 12/4/17.

The Post is here now http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=417365

Thanks to everyone trying to help, helps me a lot.
